Caravan Servicing (10,000km)
A lot of problems that people have on the road can be put down as lack of maintenance before you head off on that big trip around Australia, or that fishing trip to your favourite spot. Regular caravan servicing will keep your van in top condition.
All Caravans and Motorhomes offer full-service facilities. Service on your caravan is recommended every 12 months, or 10,000 kilometres of travel – whichever comes first. Ensure your van remains in top condition with an annual caravan and RV service.
Our annual or 10,000 kilometre caravan service includes:
- Check condition and set tyre pressure as necessary
- Remove inspect wheel bearings clean and repack with grease replace hub seals
- Check the condition of brake assemblies
- Adjust the brake shoes and handbrakes
- Check and tighten suspension and components
- Check hitch coupling bolts, and torque setting
- Inspect and lubricate stabilisers
- Visually inspect under caravan for damage and loose items
- Check the interior and exterior lighting
- Load test battery and for loose terminals
- Inspect and pressure test all gas and plumbing lines are secure and are correctly routed
- Check the gas system for correct and safe operation
- Check air conditioner operation and signs of leaks
- Check hot water system operation on 240V and gas
- Check anode, and if applicable, replace as required
- Check operation of other appliances and equipment
- Check and adjust the alignment of doors and windows and blinds, if applicable
- Lubricate door locks and exterior hinges
- Check operation of roof hatches, etc.
- Inspect and clean vents
- Check and adjust cupboard catches and locks
